Wavelength-division multiplexers

WDMs serve four-wavelength OC-48 applications with channels centered at 1533, 1541, 1549 and 1557 nm. A 3-port filter WDM can be used for splitting the blue band 1533/1541-nm signals from the red band 1549/1557-nm signals in bidirectional amplifiers. A 5-port, 4-channel WDM is also available. The units feature greater than 35-dB isolation and polarization-dependent loss of less than 0.1 dB.
