19 September 2002 -- Lightconnect, which supplies dynamic MEMS components and modules, has signed a strategic partnership with Applied Technologic Services Ltd (ATS), a distributor of optoelectronic systems and components in Israel.
Based in Herzliya, to the north of Tel Aviv, ATS is a supplier of high-tech products including fibre-optics instruments, components, lasers, and telecom and data test equipment. Through this new partnership the company's Electro-Optics Division will provide exclusive representation and distribution of Lightconnect's family of variable optical attenuators (VOAs), dynamic gain equalizers (DGEs) and dynamic channel equalizers (DCEs) throughout the following Israeli territories.
The agreement is part of Lightconnect's ongoing strategy to extend its worldwide reach. Lightconnect already has distribution agreements with representatives throughout most of Western Europe, China and Japan, and has recently expanded its North American sales network.
