MPEG-2 multiplexer card

The transend MPEG-2 multiplexer card, model mmx 8000, combines multiple mpeg-2 video transport streams into a single multiple-program transport stream for distribution over cable, satellites, and wireless networks. The model is a hot-swappable plug-in card and is a compact system for integrating broadcast-quality mpeg-2 encoders and multiplexers. The card also provides broadcasters with control over transport streams, including program-specific-information and system-information selection and the ability to multiplex digital video and high-speed data transport streams.
