Pump lasers

A line of 980-nm pump laser modules includes the 1921A/B, available to oems and systems integrators with standard power output from 90 to 150 mW, and the 1911A/B, which is available at a discounted price. The 980-nm lasers are designed as continuous-wave optical pump sources for edfa systems operating at 1550-nm wavelengths. They are components for inline optical repeaters, power-boosting amplifiers, and optical pre-amplifiers. A hermetic laser-welded package design is combined with chip technology which has demonstrated <500 fits during lifetests. The laser`s package design has industry-compatible operating current, dimensions, and pin-outs.
