HighWave expands into Japan with Mitsubishi Electric

4 March 2003 -- Highwave Optical Technologies, Lannion, France, has announced that Mitsubishi Electric Corp. will deploy its optical amplifiers in Japanese installations.

4 March 2003 -- Highwave Optical Technologies, Lannion, France, has announced that Mitsubishi Electric Corp. will deploy its optical amplifiers in Japanese installations.

Highwave will supply its latest generation of amplifiers, including its high-performance Erbium Doped Fibre and Gain Flattening Filters.

The amplifiers will be deployed in inter-city metro-ring networks, in Japan, through the Mitsubishi's all-optical DWDM platform.

Eric Delevaque, Highwave's President & CEO, said, "This contract is a major success for the company with an internationally established Japanese company.

"We believe with Mitsubishi that this first contract will be the beginning of a long and fruitful partnership."
