Optical amplifier system

SpectralWave optical amplifier system uses narrowband WDM to combine the outputs of up to eight 2.4-Gbit/sec channels into one fiber, for a total capacity of 20 Gbits/sec. Features include 555-km transmission distance for five spans, 111-km inline amplifier spacing for five spans, embedded operations channel, unequal wavelength spacing to minimize four-wave mixing effects, osi/lan interface to the network management system, and a CID port for provisioning and monitoring.
