SINGLE-MODE FIBER DISPERSION COMPENSATORS

Aug. 1, 2000

PureForm DCM Modules for SMF fiber manage dispersion across C-band wavelengths. The new modules match the dispersion and dispersion slope characteristics of the compensating fiber to conventional single-mode fiber, resulting in less residual dispersion. The modules are optimized for LEAF positive nonzero dispersion-shifted (+NZ-DSF) fiber. The product line also includes a Positive DCM Module product used for compensating negative NZ-DSF fibers and dispersion-trimming applications.
