AFL FOCIS Lightning

AFL says its FOCIS Lightning is the smallest, lightest, and easiest-to-use fast multi-fiber (MPO/MTP) connector inspection system on the market. The use of liquid-lens technology and dual CMOS image sensors, combined with advanced optical subsystem design, enables this 400x specialized electronic Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connected microscope to be substantially faster than competitive alternatives, the company explains.

Both UPC and APC polish MPO adapter tips are available in FOCIS Lightning kits, along with both MPO-12 and MPO-16 One-Click cleaning tools.

Judge’s comment: “A very compact and lightweight self-contained multi-fiber connector inspection system with an integrated screen. Users will love the automated analysis and pass/fail results in seconds. Being able to view MPO connectors with up to 32 fibers and the smart phone integration are a plus.”
