OptoTest launches OP931 fiber-optic test device

OptoTest Corp. has launched the OP931, designed primarily to measure bi-directional insertion loss (IL) and return loss (RL) quickly and accurately. The OP931 joins OptoTest’s growing portfolio of high-end, fiber-optic test equipment.

JANUARY 16, 2011 -- OptoTest Corp. has launched the OP931, designed primarily to measure bi-directional insertion loss (IL) and return loss (RL) quickly and accurately. The OP931 joins OptoTest’s growing portfolio of high-end, fiber-optic test equipment.

The OP931 comes with automated, concurrent dual IL and RL wavelengths. The IL and RL readings are returned simultaneously for all wavelengths. The devices also features a fiber-optic power meter and various detector options for single- and multi-fiber connectors. This product can be used for fiber-optic cables and components, from simplex and duplex to 12 channel counts or higher.

“With custom-tailored options, this product will fit into nearly any workspace or environment,” says Caroline Connolly, sales director of OptoTest.
