EXFO’s new BrixVision offering is designed to provide a number of unique features that make it easy for telecom operators, cable multiservice operators (MSOs), and broadcast video providers to ensure that their subscribers get the quality of experience they demand.

EXFO says BrixVision is engineered to go beyond simple live monitoring of the video network. Integrating the triple-play capabilities of BrixWorx, the product provides an open service assurance environment built on a common platform for voice, video, and data networks, the company says. BrixVision thus allows providers to consolidate their multiservice monitoring investments on a single platform to improve operational efficiency and reduce operational expenditures.

Leveraging the open architecture of BrixWorx, providers can seamlessly integrate BrixVision with a wide variety of third-party provisioning, fault management, and trouble-ticketing systems to improve operational efficiencies, validate performance and quality levels, and continually ensure the overall success of an IPTV service, EXFO adds.

BrixVision also supports over-the-top (OTT) IP video service assurance. This feature enables providers to monitor the availability and quality of their video services over their content delivery network (CDN). The capability also allows service providers to assure IP video services transferred over the Internet with the same tools they use to monitor their private networks, EXFO concludes.
