JULY 8, 2009 -- The two companies will distribute each other's products.

JULY 8, 2009 -- JGR Services Inc (search Lightwave for JGR Services), a manufacturer of test and measurement equipment as well as calibration and repair services for the fiber-optic communications market, has entered into a strategic partnership with Yenista Optics (search Lightwave for Yenista) of Lannion, France, to distribute each other's products.

Under the agreement, JGR Services will distribute Yenista's tunable lasers (Tunics and ECL), multi-laser platform (Osics), component tester (CT400), and tunable filters (WS40, WS160, and Xtract) in North America. The Tunics, ECL, Osics, and Xtract series products were formerly released under Anritsu, Nettest, and Photonetics.

JGR Service's NIST-traceable, ISO17025:2005 Accredited Calibration Lab will support customers with repair and calibration services for those instruments, including legacy Photonetics instruments.

"This deal perfectly fits Yenista's strategy of providing our customers with expertise and high level support," says Michiel van der Keur, CEO of Yenista.

Yenista, meanwhile, becomes the exclusive French distributor and European repair and calibration center for JGR Services' equipment such as the BR5 and MBR5 backreflection meters, SX8 and SXM switch lines, HA attenuators, FMP modular platform, and SLS series sources.

"This new partnership enhances regional coverage and offers complementary product lines to the customers of both companies," stated Pierre Leonard, CEO of JGR Services. "Together, we are in an excellent position to efficiently solve their most demanding T&M problems."
