APRIL 27, 2010 -- JDSU has added the COSA-4055 CWDM optical spectrum analyzer (OSA) to its T-BERD/MTS-4000 Multiple Services Test Platform.
According to JDSU, highlights of this new CWDM OSA include:
- offers the functionality and speed of a traditional OSA in a handheld size (that JDSU asserts is the smallest on the market) at “a fraction of the price”
- offers intuitive operation and one-button auto-testing to eliminate the special training technicians typically need to perform CWDM testing, making it suitable for novices while keeping the full functionality that experts need
- the small, rugged battery-operated OSA offers CWDM testing over the full wavelength range, a complete spectral trace, tabular results, and drift measurements.
The new CWDM test capabilities of the T-BERD/MTS-4000 Test Platform are designed to help service providers install, maintain, and upgrade metro/access links and CWDM systems by providing accurate measurements of wavelengths and power levels for CWDM channels, as well as displaying the complete spectrum.
TheT-BERD/MTS-4000 is a small, compact handheld test platform designed for all phases of the network life cycle, from the installation to the maintenance of access/FTTx networks and triple-play services.
