December 22, 2005 Kawasaki City, Japan, and San Jose, CA -- High-speed optical switch supplier Nozomi Photonics will demonstrate what it claims are the first optically integrated arrays of 1x2 and 2x2 high-speed optical switches next month at Photonics West in San Jose, CA.
Nozomi Photonics' four-array 1x2 and four-array 2x2 high-speed optical switches feature a rise and fall time of less than 6 nanoseconds and a power consumption of less than 5 mW at 1 MHz at chip level.
Thanks to its proprietary electro-optic waveguide PLZT technology, Nozomi Photonics claims to deliver the fastest and the most integrated high-speed optical switch in the optical communications industry.
