Fiber-optic oscilloscope probe

The TIA-950I fiber-optic probe mounts directly on the BNC input of an oscilloscope and is designed for use in the lab and field. The device reproduces the optical signal presented to it onto the oscilloscope screen. Applications for this device include a quick check of the output of a fiber-optic communications or data link, the operation of a laser source, and the signal from an optical transmitter. The system provides electrical isolation with an internal 9V lithium battery. The device can detect 900- to 1700-nm wavelengths, has a gain-selection switch, and provides a peak response value of approximately 1200 to 12,000V/W. The fiber connector is an FC receptacle.
