Enhancements for mini-OTDR

The HP E6005A and HP E6009A multimode modules test multimode fibers at 850- and 1300-nm wavelengths and have a deadzone of less than 3 meters. The HP E6006A 130 g optical power meter module provides a measurement range of 10 to -70 dBm with 5% accuracy and 0.01-dB resolution. The power meter can be used with multimode or singlemode modules to perform end-to-end loss testing, characterize optical passive components, and test transmitter power levels. The HP E6007A visual fault finder module is a visual light source that helps identify bends, breaks, and stress points along individual fibers at the patch panel. Faults can be located within the deadzone of an otdr and at distances to 5 km.
