Test and measurement systems vendor Teledyne LeCroy has announced availability of the SierraNet T328 Protocol Analysis system. The high-speed Ethernet fabric analysis system targets 25G, 50G, and 100G Ethernet applications as well as 32G/128G Fibre Channel requirements for both equipment design and validation as well as data center applications.

The SierraNet T328 leverages Teledyne LeCroy's T.A.P.3 probing technology to offer unmatched signal acquisition transparency and accuracy for all Ethernet and Fibre Channel SAN/NAS environments, the company says. The SierraNet T328 is operated with the Net Protocol Suite and nanosecond trigger granularity. The Net Protocol Suite software provides a varied tool set for creating complex and detailed capture scenarios that include the industry's only event timer and counter functions, Teledyne LeCroy asserts.

As with other members of the SierraNet family, the T328 supports deep packet inspection of events and issues affecting high-speed storage and fabric interconnections. Traffic capture occurs within the analyzer's dedicated in-band, line-rate probing technology, providing bit level detail of the data stream, the company adds.

"The SierraNet's approach to bus traffic analysis is by far the most appealing and flexible application for the high-speed fabric test environment. When combined with other protocol tools, especially with the advent of NVMe over fabrics, the offerings are expansive and complete," concludes Gerard Geary, Teledyne LeCroy's vice president of network solutions.
