Verizon Communications selects Sunrise Telecom as supplier for OC-48 handheld test sets

Sunrise Telecom was chosen over other vendors after demonstrating both the value and versatility of the SunSet OCx. At three pounds, the SunSet OCx is a small and light OC-48 optical network analyzer. Designed for portability and ease of use, the SunSet OCx enables network service providers, network installation/provisioning crews, and laboratory engineers to economically take their test equipment wherever their network takes them.

The SunSet OCx at OC-48 is designed to provide economical test solutions, incorporating optics technology with the design of the SunSet product line. Operators do not sacrifice functionality to gain the SunSet OCx's portability, convenience and ease of use. The compact yet rugged handheld unit includes a broad range of SONET/BERT transmission analysis and service verification capabilities that are found in no other single piece of equipment, regardless of size. In addition to a complete SONET payload and overhead analysis, SunSet OCx products support ATM, GR-303, ISDN, and VF dialing and analysis.
