Universal test system

FTB-300 modular universal test system simultaneously houses three optical test application modules. Field-interchangeable modules include singlemode and multimode otdrs, an optical-spectrum analyzer, an automated loss test set, a light source, power meter, visual fault locator, digital talkset and 1 ¥ 12 optical switch. Modules can be inserted and removed without using special tools. ToolBox software runs all modules. Rubber seals around and between modules keep out moisture and dust. The mainframe unit has a touch screen and is PC-based. The system features a 269-Mbyte hard disk drive, 4-Mbyte RAM, AC adapter, modem cable, batteries, shoulder strap and carrying case. It has internal storage capacity for 22,000 otdr traces and runs any DOS or Windows-based software.
