II-VI: POLS - Pluggable Optical Line System

March 23, 2021
POLS integrates the key elements of an optical transport system into a pluggable module supporting up to eight DWDM 400ZR coherent wavelengths.
II-VI says its POLS is the world’s first Pluggable Optical Line System in a compact OSFP format. It integrates the key elements of an optical transport system into a pluggable module supporting up to eight DWDM 400ZR coherent wavelengths with a single fiber pair (up to 3.2 Tbps of data center traffic) over 100 km.

Judge’s comment: “Perfect strategy for extending the advantages of pluggable optics beyond transceivers."
