ZTE’s Power over Fiber (PoF) solution solves the problem of remote power supply and limited bandwidth by integrating electrical cables and optical fibers into one hybrid cable.
ZTE’s Power over Fiber (PoF) solution solves the problem of remote power supply and limited bandwidth by integrating electrical cables and optical fibers into one hybrid cable. The ZTE PoF solution supports higher bandwidth and longer transmission distance than Ethernet cables, which enables bandwidth-hungry services and simplifies network deployment. It can support a maximum of 100-W power supply and a maximum transmission distance of up to 800 m.

Judge’s Comment: “The increased distance support and the fact that the fiber is not technically limited to 10 Gbps makes the product a fairly future-proofed solution.”
