Spirent Communications: Spirent B2 800G Native OSFP and QSFP-DD Test Platform

Feb. 7, 2023
The support for both OSFP and QSFP-DD MSA allows customers the flexibility to use a test platform that is native to their actual network deployments.
Spirent’s B2 800G Native OSFP and QSFP-DD Test Platform is designed with four ports and supports 1x800G in addition to 2x400G, 4x200G, and 8x100G in 112-Gbps PAM4 modes in line with IEEE 802.3ck and Ethernet Technology Consortium (ETC) 800GBASE-R, and 2x200G and 8x50G in 56-Gbps PAM4 mode per IEEE 802.3cd over direct attach copper (DAC), active electrical cable (AEC), or optical transceivers. The support for both OSFP and QSFP-DD MSA allows customers the flexibility to use a test platform that is native to their actual network deployments. The appliance also supports auto negotiation and link training (AN/LT) for 2x400G, 4x200G, 8x100G, 2x200G, and 8x50G speeds; LT for 1x800G; and Spirent Smart Port Technology, a licensed feature that allows single port and speed upgrades.

Judge’s Comment: “The 800G Native OSFP & QSFP-DD Test Platform from Spirent is one of the most complete test solutions for 800G pluggable modules. The multi-port capability combined with various rates and form factors enables full flexibility in testing pluggable modules at scale.”
