Boldyn Networks marks official debut with two customer wins

A neutral host provider’s new brand reinforces vision to provide wireless and wireline services to a diverse set of public and private customers.

Boldyn Networks, which recently unveiled its new company identity, comes out of the gate with significant customer wins. The new company has become one of the largest shared network infrastructure providers, supporting mobile and fixed network operators and customers in the transit, venue, government, military, and enterprise sectors with an integrated portfolio and expanded capabilities.

Boldyn has been selected to build two new network projects: The Cleveland Cavaliers and the first direct arena. For Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Ohio, US, home of The Cleveland Cavaliers NBA basketball team, Boldyn Networks is building a multi-carrier network equipped with advanced neutral host indoor Distributed Antenna System (DAS) technology. The network will offer 5G connectivity for fans during games and events for unmatched wireless experiences at the 19,432-seat venue and its surroundings. Also, the web will support all 5G spectrum bands, including 2.5GHz and C-band, ensuring seamless connectivity.

As a long-term design and connectivity partner of ASM Global for their entertainment venues, Boldyn Networks will deploy a new 5G multi-carrier wireless network in the first direct arena, a 13,000-seat first direct arena in Leeds, UK. The neutral host network will offer visitors high-speed, high-capacity mobile connectivity regardless of their carrier service. These two customer wins follow 5G connectivity deployments in Nashville Yards' new 4,500-capacity music venue and the upcoming iconic Olympia complex in London, expected to receive over ten million visitors annually.

Focus on Scale, Growth

A key focus for Boldyn is expanding its presence through acquisitions and creating a familiar brand for its assets. In March, the former BAI Communications (BAI) rebranded itself as Boldyn Networks, bringing together its six companies under one new brand.

Previously, BAI, Mobilitie, Signal Point Systems, Transit Wireless, Vilicom and ZenFi Networks brands were brought together under the Boldyn banner.

"No other company has completed the breadth and scale of projects we have as a combined entity,” said Igor Leprince, Group CEO of Boldyn Networks. “Now, as one team, we have very ambitious goals, and we aim to deliver flawlessly on the existing projects we have won and continue to accelerate our growth in the next five years."

Public-Private Partnership Collaboration

While providing services to large-scale event organizations is critical to Boldyn, the provider is also working on closing the digital divide through continued collaboration with industry partners and focusing on public-private partnerships. In the U.S., Boldyn participates in the LinkNYC project, the largest free public outdoor Wi-Fi network. LinkNYC is a communications network that has replaced pay phones across New York City’s five boroughs. Each LinkNYC structure provides free public Wi-Fi, phone calls, device charging, and a tablet for access to city services, maps and directions.

The company also has a long-term partnership with Transport for London as the 4G/5G underground backbone for London's connectivity and emergency services and the Sunderland smart city development.
