Advanced Media Technologies also partnered on digitization of operational maintenance for the service provider.

Nrby, Inc. a specialist in dynamic location intelligence for service provider operations, announced it has partnered with Advanced Media Technologies to deploy the Nrby location intelligence platform in Blue Ridge Communications' systems, the three companies announced today.

Blue Ridge says it is leveraging the Nrby platform to optimize performance and customer satisfaction by using SmartPin technology to provide unparalleled visibility into maintenance needs and potential issues requiring resolution.

Nrby technology also will be used to support construction crews and contractors in Blue Ridge’s complete fiber to the home (FTTH) rebuild of its cable system.

Nrby contends its location intelligence platform "is transforming field service, operations, and customer service teams from being reactive to proactive."

The company notes platform provides operations teams with automated, 360-degree views of completed and needed maintenance activities, enabling network operators to realize organizational efficiency, decrease operating costs, drive recurring revenue, and increase customer satisfaction.

Advanced Media Technologies, a reseller of high-performance products from well-known technology brands, collaborated with Nrby to design a system that would meet Blue Ridge’s specific needs.

“Ensuring that our subscribers have outstanding broadband is a core part of the Blue Ridge Customer Experience,” said Mark Masenheimer, Vice President, Operations for Blue Ridge Communications. “Nrby and Advanced Media Technologies have created and implemented a solution that keeps us ahead of network concerns, and is helping us plan for the fiber revolution that is now underway.”

“Over the past several years, operators have increased their focus on keeping subscribers connected,” said Ron Miller, Vice President of Customer Success for Nrby. “Working with Advanced Media Technologies, we were able to quickly fulfill Blue Ridge’s vision of digitized processes and intuitive app-based tools that simplify maintenance processes and maximize uptime.”

“While operators have many needs in common, no single approach meets every provider’s requirements,” concluded Phil Young, Vice President of Sales for Advanced Media Technologies. “The Nrby platform has the flexibility and the customization that allowed us to implement it rapidly and seamlessly into Blue Ridge Communications operational regimen.”
