RCN, Grande and Wave, one of North America's top business and residential providers of high-speed internet, digital TV and phone services, on Sept. 1 announced that it has reached the milestone of serving one million customers.

RCN Telecom Services, LLC (www.rcn.com) Grande Communications (www.mygrande.com) and Wave Broadband (www.wavebroadband.com) form the sixth largest US cable operator and provided high-speed internet, broadband communications solutions, digital TV, phone services and fiber-optic network infrastructure for residential and business customers across the United States.

Together, RCN, Grande and Wave serves areas of Massachusetts, Chicago, Pennsylvania, New York City, and Washington, DC. (RCN); Texas (Grande Communications) and Washington, Oregon and California (Wave Broadband).

Since the day RCN, Grande and Wave joined forces, our combined focus has been to provide business and residential customers with a superior option for powerful and reliable connectivity, backed by exceptional fiber-based infrastructure and localized expertise and support,” said Jim Holanda, CEO of RCN, Grande and Wave.

Holanda continued, “Today, connectivity matters more than ever and as we surpass one million customers, we are continuously investing in growing our fiber network across the U.S. to ensure that we can exceed our customers’ business, entertainment, informational, and day-to-day needs. We thank all of our customers and teammates and we remain focused on delivering superior products, services, excellent support, and value for them.”

Per a press relase from the operator:

Multiple years in a row, customers have recognized the companies both nationally and locally for fostering top rated consumer relationships, providing valuable services and being committed to quality. The brands were top ranked in a number of categories including customer service, tech support, speed, overall satisfaction, likelihood to recommend and positive net promoter scores.
Most recently, the companies were named in PCMag's Readers’ Choice Awards edition for Best Internet Service Provider (ISP) of 2020 and U.S News & World Report’s 360 Reviews' Best Cable Internet Providers, highlighting their commitment to customers. The U.S. News & World Report’s 360 Reviews team, which creates objective ratings based on an analysis of third-party reviews, recognized RCN as the best cost-effective ISP. Additionally, PCMag’s Business Choice Awards included the highest rankings for all three companies for the best small-to-medium business ISP category.

“Our customers have validated our commitment to service and satisfaction, year after year, in national and local surveys for residential and business services,” Holanda concluded. “We have an ongoing dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction as evidenced by the million customers welcoming us into their homes and businesses.”
