Windstream (NASDAQ:WIN) is expanding its metro fiber networks in St. Louis and Cleveland, OH, to connect more local data centers and commercial buildings to Windstream's nationwide fiber network.

The expansion is intended to increases both the footprint of the company's network and the business services that are available to local customers - including SD-WAN, Wavelengths, cloud connectivity, Ethernet networking, unified communications (UC), managed network security and cloud services.

Windstream is expanding local metro fiber and fixed wireless networks across the country as part of an initiative to support customers in the banking, financial services, legal services, education, healthcare, government, hospitality and retail industries, among others. In addition to this expansion in St. Louis and Cleveland, Windstream is expanding its metro fiber networks in Charlotte, Nashville, Richmond, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Chicago, and Philadelphia.
