SeaChange International (NASDAQ:SEAC) has upgraded its existing Adrenalin platform deployment with Belgian cable operator VOO to enable multiplatform personalization features of the operator's évasion multiscreen video service. The existing Adrenalin platform was upgraded to introduce restart and catch-up viewing services.
VOO's Adrenalin deployment has been integrated with a content recommendation engine from ThinkAnalytics, and also enables automatic bookmarking so that subscribers can pause a program and resume later on a different device. The ability to record programs remotely from a connected device for subsequent viewing via set-top boxes is expected to be added later this year.
Originally branded VOOmotion, évasion was launched in December 2012 as an HTML5-based multiscreen service with navigation for tablets, smartphones and PCs, with access to 40 live TV channels and several thousand on-demand titles.
