Sept. 8, 2022
Positron's GAM uses the same spectrum as DOCSIS 3.1 high split to deliver virtually symmetrical gigabit services to 2,600 ft. over the existing in-building coax infrastructure.
Positron's GAM uses the same spectrum as DOCSIS 3.1 high split to deliver virtually symmetrical gigabit services to 2,600 ft. over the existing in-building coax infrastructure. It eliminates the disruption from construction and manpower. It is fully featured, supports 16 devices per port without amplifiers, is fully compatible with legacy CATV, and offers native OMCI integration. It installs in hours with a total investment less than 20% of the cost to rewire with fiber. The GAM reduces complexity and gives operators the lowest capex, best ROI (4 months), and fastest time to service, says Positron. There are no license fees.

Judge’s Comment: “This product can be extremely useful to cable operators that have already wired buildings with coax and want to connect them to new FTTH networks.”
