FYI Television, an entertainment metadata and media content supplier, and Axwave, a provider of mobile app content recognition, have announced a long-term agreement for the utilization of FYI's textual data in Axwave's TV panelist and mobile device technology.

FYI is providing Axwave with up-to-date TV program airing schedules data, which will be used to assist clients with audience measurement for 30-day DVR and OTT/VOD content, which includes offerings from Netflix and Amazon Prime as well as other sources streaming from the tool. Axwave plans to integrate FYI metadata into its international products, introducing the data in Spain and the United Kingdom, as well as other countries in Europe.

FYI accumulates and distributes TV entertainment content and linear scheduling data from more than 12,000 TV networks daily, aggregating the information into customized formats for various television, mobile, Internet and print clients.

Palo Alto, CA-based Axwave has audio recognition technology for TV and Radio Panelist Device, designed to recognize live TV, TV ads, DVR, on-demand video (including Netflix), music and other audio files. The real-time data on users' live and past media consumption habits is intended to allow audience measurement companies and marketers to provide better user experiences as well as understand who has viewed TV content.
