VeEX's FX160 FiberBEAST test kit integrates automated, bidirectional OLTS and OTDR into a single-port solution—eliminating the need for multiple instruments. With one-button simplicity, paired FX160 units communicate over the fiber under test to perform insertion loss, optical return loss, and OTDR measurements, merging results into a unified bidirectional report. In PON deployments, a single technician can install an FX160 at the OLT and validate Tier 1 and/or Tier 2 performance requirements between the OLT and the customer side without revisiting the OLT until the job is complete, halving certification time and staffing requirements. OSP technicians can use the PFP Power feature to verify that all fiber ports receiving power at the F1/F2 terminals are within specifications.
