Accumux Technologies has announced its entry into the telecommunications and data-communications markets after being in stealth mode for over a year. Accumux develops and delivers high-precision optical components and subsystems for DWDM fiber-optic communication systems, utilizing a patent-pending application of etalon technology.

Funded by Smart Technology Ventures, Fortune Ventures, Trimax, and LiteOnIt Corp, Accumux has developed its family of Light Fixers products to improve the network performance at a cost effective price with extremely compact packaging. The Light Fixers family includes Dispersion Compensation Modules, Interleavers (25 GHz-50 GHz), and Gain Flattening Filters.

The Light Fixers product family includes tunable, compact, multi-channel dispersion compensation modules (DCMs), which solve the problem of signal distortion due to chromatic dispersion and dispersion slope mismatch. They are designed to work with existing network components, including fiber in use today. According to the company, these products are ideal for systems integrators and carriers alike, in that they are easily deployed and prove cost effective by extending the distance needed between repeaters or regenerators. This in turn allows more channels per fiber at high bandwidth. All these products are designed around Accumux 's patent pending ADAPT architecture.

Accumux Technologies (Camarillo, CA) develops and delivers high-precision optical components and subsystems for DWDM systems. For more information, visit the company's Web site at www.accumux.com.
