Picosecond Pulse Labs signs patent license agreement with Stanford University

January 11, 2002--Picosecond Pulse Labs Inc. has signed an exclusive worldwide patent license agreement with Stanford University to develop, manufacture, and commercialize high-speed signal generation, signal acquisition, and signal processing products for the test and measurement and telecommunication industries.

The patents exclusively licensed under this agreement include U.S. Patent Numbers 4,956,568; 5,014,018; 5,256,996; 5,267,020; and 5,378,939 among others. This patent suite provides Picosecond with exclusive rights to develop a range of high bandwidth products based on nonlinear transmission line technologies, subject to certain rights held by the patent holders.

"We're excited about the new product possibilities presented in this intellectual property," contends Clayton Smith, Picosecond's vice president of engineering. "This patent suite has important technology implications for high-speed signal transport components and test instruments."
