18 August 2003 Bracknell, England Lightwave--NORDX/CDT, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cable Design Technologies (CDT) announced that KiTEK Ltd has entered into a Certified System Vendor Agreement (CSV) with NORDX/CDT authorizing KiTEK to sell and install NORDX/CDT's IBDN certified structured cabling systems.

Due to the ever improving infrastructure in sub-Saharan Africa, John Case, chief executive officer of KiTEK, details his first hand experiences. "When I first came to Africa if you wanted to telephone the country next door, the call had to be routed through London. Those days are gone. Now it is possible to conceive of people in a village asking questions via an Internet link from their rural library. To say that the idea of being able to provide people in Africa access to the vista of the world is exciting would be an understatement. Both KiTEK and NORDX/CDT see tremendous long term potential for growth on this continent. "

"There is obviously great synergy created between these two companies,"confirms Graham Boret, finance and operations director of NORDX/CDT EMEA. "KiTEK provide structured cabling services as part of a comprehensive range of data network design, installation, and support services and NORDX/CDT is known as a leading manufacturer of LAN and network structured cabling systems."

As a CSV, KiTEK can offer NORDX/CDT's 25-year Extended Product Warranty and NORDX/CDT's Lifetime Application Assurance Program to their end-user customers on IBDN Certified Systems in accordance with all applicable guidelines. The relationship with NORDX/CDT strengthens KiTEK's Cabling Division and demonstrates their high level of technical expertise in this area.

"We are extremely pleased with this CSV agreement between KiTEK and NORDX/CDT. NORDX/CDT is a highly quality oriented and standards based company with a long history of excellence and superior product performance. These are values that we feel are pre-eminent for our company and necessary in order to provide our clients the type of permanent, stable, and reliable milieu to which they are entitled," concludes John Case.

NORDX/CDT's product line consists of complete voice and data wiring solutions, telecommunications distribution cables, fiber-optic solutions and several other components used to build high performance telecommunications infrastructures. Cable Design Technologies is a leading designer and manufacturer of technologically advanced data transmission cables for network, computer interconnection applications and automation, sound, and safety applications. NORDX/CDT operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of CDT.
