Management buyout creates Ibsen Photonics

November 1, 2001--Ibsen Photonics (Copenhagen) today announced their management buy-out from ADC Telecommunications. As part of the buy-out agreement, Ibsen Photonics will receive $15 million (US) in funding from European venture capital and private equity fund 3i, as well as Danish venture capital provider Dansk Kapitalanlaeg Aktieselskab.

November 1, 2001--Ibsen Photonics (Copenhagen) today announced their management buy-out from ADC Telecommunications. As part of the buy-out agreement, Ibsen Photonics will receive $15 million (US) in funding from European venture capital and private equity fund 3i, as well as Danish venture capital provider Dansk Kapitalanlaeg Aktieselskab.

Ibsen Photonics, originally known as Ibsen Micro Structures since its inception in 1991, was acquired by ADC in May 2000 to form ADC Denmark. Ibsen Photonics will have 71 employees and be led by the same management team that previously led ADC Denmark.

Ibsen Photonics will continue to leverage its 10 years of experience in diffractive optics to market holographic Phase masks, a strategic tool for manufacturers of DWDM telecommunications components like fiber Bragg gratings, DFB lasers, and integrated optics.
