Ai Metrix, Inc., a provider of comprehensive service management software, completed a $23 million investment led by General Atlantic Partners LLC. General Atlantic Partners is a private equity firm exclusively focused on investing in information technology and telecommunications businesses, globally. Spectrum Equity Investors, a communications venture capital firm focused on investing both financial and intellectual capital in companies that power the Networked Economy, also participated in the round. The private placement, for which Bear Stearns & Co. is serving as financial advisor to Ai Metrix, provides the company with additional capital to fund its growth strategy.
Founded in 1996, Ai Metrix, Inc., developed NeuralStar, an integrated suite of software products and services. NeuralStar provides broadband service providers, such as Broadwing, Inc., Comcast Business Communications and the Department of Defense, with a scalable solution for inventory management, service assurance, service activation, and business layer integration.
Ai Metrix will use the funds to accelerate new technology/product development and deployment, further enhance its customer support capabilities, and support the expansion of its domestic and international marketing and sales activities.
