EXFO Electro-Optical Engineering Inc. (NASDAQ: EXFO, TSE: EXF) announced it has officially changed the name of EFOS Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary, to EXFO Photonic Solutions Inc. The change in name became effective September 5, 2001.

EFOS, a Toronto-based company that was acquired in March 2001, is a provider of precision light-based adhesive spot curing technologies as well as curing process control for the global optical component manufacturing market.

Key product brands, such as Novacure and Acticure, will remain.
