Comcast Corporation's (Nasdaq: CMCSK, CMCSA) new venture -- Comcast Business Communications -- is now offering a complete array of Internet, data and voice services in the Baltimore market; the first complete rollout since the company's official launch in February.
Comcast Business Communications, a subsidiary of Comcast Corporation, is targeting markets such as the Baltimore region, where Comcast's network already exists and the Comcast brand is well known. Since February, Comcast Business Communications has been offering a variety of business communications services, but now the company is offering a "full suite" of integrated services with the completion of enhancements on Comcast's network.
Although the company's customers are clustered throughout the mid-Atlantic region, a significant and growing number are located in Baltimore and the surrounding counties. Among the largest is Williams Scotsman, a supplier of mobile offices and modular buildings in the United States. Headquartered in Baltimore, Williams Scotsman recently contracted with Comcast Business to provide Internet services including network management and web hosting, as well as local and long-distance services for its corporate headquarters and for customers in their mobile office environments.
