AFL says it has expanded its reach into Europe by agreeing to acquire TCC Group, a telecommunications network implementation and integration provider based in Bracknell, UK. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. TCC Group will continue to operate from existing facilities around the UK.

TCC Group has designed, built, installed, and maintained networks for several large telecommunications customers, according to AFL. The US company believes the acquisition enhances its ability to provide customers with copper and fiber technology services from the switch site to the customer premises in new and larger markets within Europe.

"This is a key growth opportunity for AFL as this acquisition enhances our engineering, material logistics, and installation capabilities, enabling us to expand and serve major telecommunications companies in Europe," said Jody Gallagher, president and CEO of AFL. "We are also pleased that Jas Gill, TCC Group's founder, will remain with the company to help us ensure that the transaction is beneficial to TCC's customers."
