Tyco Telecommunications renamed Tyco Electronics Subsea Communications

Tyco Telecommunications, a business unit of Tyco Electronics Ltd. and a provider of undersea communications technology, is now operating under a new name: Tyco Electronics Subsea Communications (TE SubCom).

MARCH 16, 2010 -- Tyco Telecommunications, a business unit of Tyco Electronics Ltd. and a provider of undersea communications technology, is now operating under a new name: Tyco Electronics Subsea Communications (TE SubCom). TE SubCom will continue to deliver the same undersea communications solutions it has for more than five decades.

"Our new name enables us to more closely align ourselves with our parent company, Tyco Electronics, and reinforces our commitment to designing, manufacturing, installing and maintaining the premier subsea cable systems across the globe," says David Coughlan, CEO of TE SubCom. "While our name has changed, our customers and partners should rest assured that we will continue to offer the same services and innovative technological developments they have come to expect throughout our robust history."

In 2010, TE SubCom will continue to demonstrate its industry-leading excellence by completing cable installations and upgrade projects in diverse and critical regions, including Asia, the Middle East, and the North Atlantic. The company's management team remains unchanged and TE SubCom maintains the existing company headquarters, research and development laboratories, manufacturing facilities, ships, and depots located worldwide.
