Ericsson AB of Sweden and Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd. of Japan have formed a joint venture, seca Optics, which will manufacture fiber-optic cable in Sweden. The new company will be equally owned by the two concerns and should begin operations late next year. The Ericsson group is expected to be the new venture`s principal customer.
