13 August 2002 -- London-based pan-European fibre network service provider Interoute has signed a three year partnership agreement with technology services company Dimension Data to deliver fully managed network solutions to large multi-site enterprises in Europe.
The aim is to tightly integrate each party's services and create network solutions that offer better levels of wide-area and local-area service and functionality than currently available.
"Dimension Data and Interoute believe the enterprise market will be better served by partnerships between network service providers and IT service providers," said Russell Bolan, UK CEO of Dimension Data.
"Our network will support application-based SLAs, ensuring that customers achieve greater business efficiencies," said Interoute CEO Alan Lowe. "It is essential that operators and integrators forge closer links," adds Lowe. "This is one of a number of partnerships that we are currently establishing, as part of our strategy to become a major player in the delivery of value-added networking services to the enterprise sector".
Services to be offered include fully managed data networks, Internet access and content hosting. Also, access to a network-monitoring portal will enable customers to monitor the network and raise service requests.
