23 September 2002 -- AMS Technologies, Munich, Germany, has been chosen as official reseller for the JDS Uniphase test and measurement instruments in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Greece, Hungary, Poland, and Italy.
JDS Uniphase's collaborations with research labs, manufacturers, and network experts, means that it should be developing "an innovative portfolio capable of measuring emerging parameters for the next generation of fiberoptic products", the company claims.
An AMS spokesman adds, "New market demands are for low cost, high performance telecommunication and data communication testing equipment. Recent instrumentation developments in electro-optic, and modular-approach testing equipment are meeting these demands."
AMS has supported production and test systems in the telecommunication markets over 20 years by supplying on site service and training for operators. The company is one of Europe's largest distributors of electronic components.
With a total staff of 60, the company comprises five technology divisions - CompuTech Division, Electronic Division, Fiberoptic Division, OptoTech Division and ThermoTech Division ? each command superior knowledge of their specific markets.
