Global Crossing Ltd. (Hamilton, Bermuda) and ddi Corp. (Tokyo) signed a memorandum of understanding

Global Crossing Ltd. (Hamilton, Bermuda) and ddi Corp. (Tokyo) signed a memorandum of understanding for ddi to purchase fiber-optic capacity on Pacific Crossing (PC-1), a joint venture between Global Crossing and its Japanese partners, Marubeni Corp. (Tokyo) and kdd Submarine Cable Systems (Tokyo). ddi is the first Asian customer on PC-1, which connects the United States and Japan, and is scheduled for service in early 2000. Terms of the agreement were not released.
