Coherent Inc., Santa Clara, CA, has entered into a joint venture agreement with Fiber Optics Network Solutions Corp., Northboro, MA, to form cfx Communications Systems. cfx Communications Systems will develop and market a broadband transmission product line capable of providing cost-effective cable TV and fast Internet access. The product line will provide both analog and digital transmission supporting hybrid fiber/coaxial-cable networks, fiber-to-the-curb, and fiber-to-the-home systems.
