Seiko Instruments Fiber Optics Group expands channel distribution with All American Semiconductor

Sept. 24, 2001--The Fiber Optic Products Group of Seiko Instruments USA Inc. announced the addition of Miami-based All American Semiconductor Inc., a national distributor of semiconductors and electronic components, to its roster of distributors.

The Fiber Optic Products Group of Seiko Instruments USA Inc. announced the addition of Miami-based All American Semiconductor Inc. (Nasdaq:SEMI), a national distributor of semiconductors and electronic components, to its roster of distributors. Under the agreement, effective Sept. 1, 2001, All American will distribute the Fiber Optic Group's connectors, including the new SeikoNet Cable Assemblies, adapters and polisher product families.

Services offered by All American include logistics and technical support infrastructures including three distribution centers, Field Applications Engineers, and supply chain management programs.

Prior to the new distributor agreement with the Fiber Optic Products Group, All American partnered to market products for several other divisions of Seiko Instruments USA including the company's LCD, IC, Quartz Crystals and Battery lines.

With the addition of Seiko Instruments fiber-optic products, the expanded product offering will further solidify the relationship between the two companies, as well as strengthen All American's position as a full-service distributor offering a comprehensive selection of these types of devices throughout its 36 North American locations.
