Cooperative agreement

Reliance Comm/Tec Corp., Cleveland and Philips Broadband Networks Inc., Manlius, NY, have agreed to develop and market systems for narrowband telephony over hybrid fiber/coaxial-cable networks. The system is based on Philips` Broadband Communications Gateway and Reliance`s Matrix Interactive Multimedia Access System.

Also, Reliance Comm/Tec and Guangdong Science Research Institute of Posts and Telecommunications have established a joint venture company to produce telecommunications test systems in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, for the People`s Republic of China. The venture will assemble, configure, sell and service subscriber-loop test system products for the telecommunications industry. The company is majority-owned by Reliance Comm/Tec`s Transmission Systems Group, Bedford, TX, and is known as Guangzhou Reliance Comm/Tec Ltd.
