Kazunori Ishii new Hirose Electric president
Kazunori Ishii, most recently senior managing director, became president of connector vendor Hirose Electric yesterday, June 28. He succeeds Tatsuro Nakamura, who has been appointed chairman of the board, in addition to serving as representative director.
Ishii joined Hirose in April of 1982, and has since served as deputy chief director of engineering and deputy chief director of sales before assuming the role of senior managing director. He holds a BA degree from Komazawa University.
Nakamura joined the company in 1969 and has held numerous positions within Hirose Electric and its subsidiaries before assuming the role of President in 2000. In a written statement, Nakamura stated his “sincere gratitude for the extraordinary kindness” shown while he was president.
“As the following president, Mr. Kazunori Ishii, assumes the post, I would like to ask all of you to please provide even greater support and guidance for his efforts,” Nakamura continued.
