JDS FITEL Inc. (Nepean, ON, Canada) and Corning Inc. (Corning, NY) entered into a contractual joint

JDS FITEL Inc. (Nepean, ON, Canada) and Corning Inc. (Corning, NY) entered into a contractual joint venture to develop and manufacture optical isolators, primarily used in optical amplifiers. Under terms of the agreement, JDS FITEL will design, develop, and manufacture the isolators for the joint venture, from which Corning will source the majority of its needs. In addition, both companies agreed to work cooperatively to market the optical isolators to third-party customers.
