MARCH 22, 2007 -- Eblana Photonics Ltd. (search for Eblana) has announced that it has extended its laser product offerings to incorporate lasers for use in IEEE 802.3ae 10G Ethernet, 10GBASE-LR/LRM/LW, and 10-Gbit/sec Fibre Channel applications. This latest product series extends and complements Eblana's existing family of isolator-free laser products that operate uncooled over the industrial temperature range of 40 °C to +85°C and which target high-volume applications such as GPON.
"The 10-Gbit/sec EP1310-FP and EP1310-DM lasers reflect our continuing commitment to drive unnecessary and unproductive cost out of optical module manufacture by providing easy-to-use, cost-effective products for the most challenging applications," said James O'Gorman, Eblana's CEO.
