Huntsville, AL-based KMC Southeast Corp., an affiliate of the Kamine Group of Companies, plans to purchase fiber-optic transport equipment, access systems and element management software from Richardson, TX-based Fujitsu Network Transmission Systems Inc. for its Huntsville network. The network comprises three synchronous optical network, or Sonet, rings operating at OC-3 and OC-12 rates of 155.52 and 622.08 megabits per second, respectively. The company plans to have Sonet-based networks in 12 secondary U.S. markets by the end of 1996.
