Corning Optical Communications FlexNAP™ Multiuse System

Feb. 21, 2018
The FlexNAP™ multiuse system enables FTTx networks to be deployed up to 50% faster than traditional networks by replacing splicing with factory-installed connectors and replacing aerial lashing with self-supporting, p-clampable cables. The system offers a combination of multifiber and single-fiber connection points. This capability is important because as wireless and wireline deployments converge into single-sheath platforms, the access distribution network must be able to easily service a mix of direct fiber connections and PON-based connections with a variety of split ratios.

Judge's Comment: "Excellent product designed to reduce installation cost of fiber access networks - a huge burden for service providers."
